Vineyards, olive trees, almond trees and the Menorcan countryside. Donkeys grazing among the fields, paths bordered by traditional dry-stone walls, and Mediterranean vegetation that changes with the seasons. Torralbenc is a living estate, deeply rooted in the land and in a simple, authentic way of experiencing Menorca.

A story written in stone and time.

Torralbenc was born from a desire to preserve and breathe new life into a traditional Menorcan estate. When it was acquired in 2005, its buildings — dating from the 19th and early 20th centuries — had fallen into disrepair, and the land had long ceased to be cultivated.

Over the years, we worked with respect and patience to restore the estate while preserving its soul. Stone by stone, field by field.

In 2013, Torralbenc opened its doors as a rural retreat and winery, retaining its Menorcan character while restoring its living connection with the landscape and the island’s agricultural heritage. Since then, the estate has been cared for with the same dedication with which it was restored, preserving its architecture, its surroundings and its essence.

Torralbenc extends across 77 hectares of Menorcan agricultural landscape, perfectly integrated with its surroundings.

Surrounded by dry-stone walls and vineyards, the estate sits amid cultivated fields, woodlands of wild olives (ullastres) and classic Mediterranean undergrowth of cistus, mastic and rosemary, just 3 kilometres from the sea.

Winding paths and traditional stone walls reveal historic farm structures — threshing floors, stables and country cottages — that have shaped the character of Menorcan fields for centuries. On the same land are archaeological remnants from the Talayotic era, including a Taula — a prehistoric stone construction unique to Menorca dating from around the 2nd century BC — linking Torralbenc to the island’s most distant past. Fourteen of these hectares are dedicated to vine cultivation. From them comes the wine we produce in our winery — another expression of the deep bond between this land, its history and its present.
