A luxury accommodation, preserving its original essence.
History, agricultural tradition and nature.
When we acquired the country house in 2005 with the target of developing an agrotourism and wine cellar project, there was nothing left of the old house but ruins. The historical buildings where nowadays the rooms are located were in very bad condition and the land had been unworked for many years.
To bring back the essence to this traditional Menorcan country house was a challenge. It was a meticulous rehabilitation project of several years until finally, in 2013, Torralbenc opened its doors as luxury accommodation, preserving its original essence.
A natural landscape less than 2 miles away from the Mediterranean sea
The 77 hectares of the estate are perfectly integrated with the agricultural landscape that surrounds Torralbenc, with 14 of them intended for vineyards and a cellar, where we produce our own-label wine.
Strolling around, you will come across typical features of Menorca’s countryside, such us old threshing floors, stables, traditional country houses or even the traditional dry stone walls, which were formerly used to separate plots. Furthermore, Torralbenc hosts archaeological remains that date back to the second century BC. Among them are the taulas, T-shaped Talaiotic constructions unique of Menorca.
All of it in a natural landscape, less than 2 miles away from the Mediterranean sea and surrounded by horticultural fields, wild olive forests and classic Mediterranean underwood.
Our commitment to the island of Menorca
As part of Menorca, in Torralbenc we feel very involved with its nature and the fair use of its resources, assuming our responsibility to the environment with sustainable initiatives that respect the surroundings.
Our commitment to the island begins with the integration of Torralbenc into its surroundings, using natural raw materials and covering plants that reduce the visual impact.
